photographing weddings is where my heart is at… but it’s also where I’m the WORST at blogging!!! To pick through 500+ images from wedding formals to wedding day to showcase a handful in a blog post is always the most donting of tasks to me. But, when I go back through the months and look at the images that I haven’t shared, it makes me incredibly sad! 2011 was the best! AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL COUPLES! Brides that just beamed and grooms that, well, totally complimented the brides ;) Seriously though, weddings are where my heart is at. (well that and newborns- cuz like, how could you NOT love the newborns?! OH and…Seniors/Models….oh flip, who am I kidding? I love it all! daaaang!)
When prospects inquire about their wedding day and tell me that my images are beautiful and they love my style (thank you! ;) I first, blush! Then I get all hot and sweaty because I know that it’s not current work, not up to date in the slightest, and really my most current work is my BEST! naturally, at hopefully naturally ;) SO if you have been following my blog I posted about “operation RE-Fuel” a time of refection and goal setting.
top goals for 2012:
1. get images to clients FASTER (I’ve had such patient clients. After Hudson was born he kinda turned my life around and I didn’t realize he’d take up so much time, ha ha….ok maybe I did, but didn’t…. you know what I mean!! ;) I guess I just thought I could be super woman! But with the proper planning I can appear to be super woman!
2. BLOG. After all this is my portfolio. It’s only right that it stays current. And only fair to my clients and to myself that it stays up to date.
3. Stay true to my style and personality. I know that sometimes I may be a little too blunt or possibly offending to some people on this blog, but I’m just keeping it real! I have great days, so so days, poopy (*waaa-waaa*) days! My hopes is that someone can relate! Sometimes it’s hard to find the balance between writing to clients, fellow photographers and just the casual readers… but at the end of the day we are all human! We all have our own sets of challenges. Here’s to remembering the journey! The good with the not so good!
So bare with me while I dust this place off… and reminisce 2011!!
